Rotten Tomatoes, home of the Tomatometer, is the most trusted measurement of quality for Movies & TV. Daniel Myrick's look at one UFO obsessive is less invested in "The X-Files" ethos of "I. Starring Michael Selle, Nicolette Sweeney, Faleolo Alailima.
Selle is outstanding as the awkward Carl. Inspired by memories from his childhood and interest in supernatural events, Myrick wrote the premise to be a "character study" comparable to the real-world psychological trauma and life-long experiences of alien abducties. In interviews leading up to the film's release Myrick stated.
SKYMAN has tension, but not scares. If you are looking for a scary horror film or a lot of action/special effects, this movie isn't for you. But Myrick's take on documentary film-making is worth a watch if you go into it with an open mind. My rating for the movie is a B. See my full review at Mark Reviews Movies.
