This is a movie that aims to explore the psychology of its lead. She gives it her all, at least.. Its tale of entering the past.
D. movie reviews & Metacritic score: While doing research , a group of young geniuses accidentally stumble upon a secret terrorist plot to create a time machine to go back in time and change histor. The movie begins in Costa Verde, a fictional South American country. VIFF Review: This is really shocking. As in the games, the main issue here is violence -- although the movie is far less brutally gory than the games. Still, there are several battles with knives, slicing, and stabbing, bows and arrows, and some dead bodies, including a mother, who's found by her son. Believe me, I know how to believe stuff when it happens in the movies.

Berenger is always a welcome addition, perhaps not having as much of a blast here as Nolte did in Angel Has Fallen, but still enjoying a comfortable old shoes role he appears. Imagine waking to find yourself upon a mound of incinerated bodies with no recollection of how or why you are there. Thereafter, you are forced to revisit sins of the past.
