"The Eddy" is a critical ride, a show with scenes that moved me as much as anything on TV this year embedded in a narrative structure that often feels unrefined. Ultimately, the good outweighs the bad enough to recommend it, even if I wish the true peaks of this series were a part of a better show from beginning to end. Review: The world of Netflix's 'The Eddy' will haunt you.
With André Holland, Joanna Kulig, Leïla Bekhti, Adil Dehbi. A French club owner deals with the everyday chaos of running a live music venue in the heart of Paris. For the painter Freddy, who is working on his big comeback in seclusion by the lake, it is the darkest day of his life.
He is accused of brutally beating up his wife and in jeopardy of losing. Get ready for a good scare as you head out for your nighttime adventure to uncover tales of ghosts, murderers, and the spooky stories in between. There is something about a one-ring circus or a run-down theme park that appeals to me. There is a poignancy in the shabbiness of their glory. Once on the Lido in Venice, out of season, I was one of nine people in the audience as an old lady in spangles rode around the ring on a discouraged pony. I ate sugar-coated peanuts and wept inside, perhaps from joy.
Trailer Eddy's World
END OF THE WORLD is another cheesy, unintentionally hilarious disaster movie from those hardworking folk at The Asylum. Once again it follows the same cookie-cutter template as the rest of this studio's disaster flicks: a top scientist is ignored by their peers and forced to rush their family to a place of safety when disaster strikes. One of the most popular providers of short film reviews in the UK.
Describe a scene, incident, or dialogue from the film. When writing a movie review about a certain motion picture, do not start directly with your opinion or criticism on the film, but instead begin by recalling a certain part of the movie that you find the most intriguing, something that you cannot forget so easily and start talking about it.
